Hot water buffer tanks, Hot water accumulator tanks
Hot water accumulator tanks are reservoirs for storing water of up to 95°С. Accumulator tanks are installed in the hot water supply system between the hot water producing units and its consumers. The necessary amount of hot water stored in accumulator tanks helps level the hot water flowing, thus providing efficient work of the district heating supply system.
Hot water accumulator tank is, in effect, a vertical steel tank with some additional structural components (like rims protecting from failure). Hot water accumulator tanks are classified as a separate group of industrial constructions according to Regulations for safe maintenance of heating containers. As a rule, in Russia and the CIS countries tanks of 100m³, 200 m³, 300 m³, 400 m³, 700 m³, 1000 m³, 2000 m³, 3000 m³, 5000 m³, 10000 m³, 15000 m³ and 20000 m³ capacity are used. The reason is that since the USSR times there existed a document called “Hot water accumulator tank standard plan (903-9-15sp86, 903-9-16sp86)” that allowed these capacities, but at present this document is invalidated. That is why it is important to be guided by working regulatory documents while designing hot water accumulator tanks.
Thus, the sequence of tanks construction procedures consists of three stages: ordering the project design of accumulator tank, purchasing metal structures, ordering their installation.
